The GapGun has two network adapters, LAN for connecting via the docking station to a wired network and Wi-Fi
for connecting wirelessly to ad-hoc networks or to Wireless Access Points.
To connect through the LAN adapter, the adapter must be in the Enabled state.
The adapter must be set up with a Fixed IP address and Subnet mask or be set to use a Dynamic IP address where
the address is allocated by a DHCP server on the network.
When the GapGun is used with a standalone PC, it is recommended that the IP address 10.10.10.1 and the
subnet mask 255.0.0.0 should be used on the GapGun and IP address 10.10.10.255 and subnet mask 255.0.0.0
used on the PC.
For networked PCs, contact your Network Manager for details of how to connect to your company’s network.
The GapGun touchscreen can lose calibration if knocked and may need to be reset from time to time.
1. Tap the
Calibration Tab
on
Stylus Properties
dialog then tap the
Recalibrate
button. The calibration screen
has crosshairs at the centre. Use a pointed stylus to press and hold as still as possible on the crosshairs until
they move to the next corner, this can take a number of seconds. Repeat this process for each corner.
2. To complete the calibration a USB keyboard must be plugged in. Press Enter to accept the settings or press
the ESC key to keep the old settings.
3. When the
Stylus Properties
dialog reappears, press Tab and Enter on the keyboard to close the dialog or
the touchscreen to tap the
OK
button.
