7.1.3 GOV Settings
To save bandwidth, users can set the GOV length to determine the frame structure (I-frames
and P-frames) in a video stream. Less bandwidth is needed if the GOV length is set to a high
value. However, the shorter the GOV length the better the video quality is.
To configure the GOV settings
1 On the Streaming tab, click Video format in the menu on the left.
2 In the GOV Settings section, type the values in the GOV Length boxes.
Range: 1 to 255.
The default value for H.264-1 / H.264-2 / H.264-3 / H.264-4 is 60 / 60 / 30 / 30 (NTSC)
or 50 / 50 / 25 / 25 (PAL).
3 Click Save to confirm the GOV setting.
