andlatchthehandlebartoengagetheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostop.
•Lowerthecoringheadorsecureitwiththeservice
latchwhenyouarenotrunningthemachine.
•Keepallpartsofthemachineingoodworking
conditionandallhardwaretightened.
•Replaceallworn,damaged,ormissingdecals.
CleaningtheMachine

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,fullyraise
andlatchthehandlebartoengagetheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,removethekey,and

2.Thoroughlywashthemachine.
•Useagardenhosewithoutanozzleto
avoidforcingwaterpastthesealsand
contaminatingbearinggrease.
•Useabrushtoremovecaked-onmaterial.
•Usemilddetergenttocleanthecovers.
3.Aftercleaning,applyacoatofautowax
periodicallytomaintaintheglossynishofthe
cover.
4.Inspectthemachinefordamage,oilleaks,and
componentandtinewear.
5.Remove,clean,andoilthetines.Sprayalight
oilmistoncoringheadbearings(crankand
damperlinks).
Important:Securethecoringheadwiththe
servicelatchifyoustorethemachineformore
thanacoupleofdays.
