Unified Controller nv Series type1 light Controller Unit Operating Instructions

3.11 TC-net I/O Loop Wiring
This section describes how to connect type1light controller module (PUM12) to TC-net I/O
loop G2 I/O adapter (GA922) via the TC-net I/O loop to configure a remote I/O system.
The TC-net I/O loop connects the TC-net I/O loop optical fiber cable to the transmission
connectors (LP1 and LP2) of each module for the input and output of G2 I/O or G3 I/O
data.
For details, refer to “High-speed Serial I/O System TC-net I/O Instruction Manual”
(6F8C1240) and “Unified controller nv series type1 light Controller Unit User’s Manual -
Basic Hardware -” (6F8C1497).
Precautions on TC-net I/O loop cable connection
• Use a GI optical fiber cable with duplex LC connector (core / clad diameter: 50/125 or
62.5/125) for the TC-net I/O loop cable.
• The maximum length of TC-net I/O loop nodes is 2 km, and the total length of the TC-net
I/O loop is 4 km.
• Connect the GI optical fiber cable with duplex LC connector to proper TC-net I/O loop
connectors (LP1 and LP2) of the controller module.
• The TC-net I/O loop cable can be converted to an Ethernet cable using the electro-optic
repeater (RP913) on the TC-net I/O loop.
• The minimum bend radius of the optical fiber cable is 10 times its outer diamter. Do not
bend the cable below this value.
Connecting the TC-net I/O loop cable
• Connect the controller module (PUM12) and I/O adapter (GA922) with the TC-net I/O loop
cables in the combination of LP2 and LP1, starting the node with the smallest node
number.

Important
• The minimum bend radius of the optical fiber cable is 10 times its outer diameter. Do
not bend the cable below this value during wiring. Otherwise, it may cause a wire
break or system failure.
