1. System Configuration
7
Table 1.2 Power Supply Conditions for PCS-DS51
Item Condition
Voltage 85 Vac - 132 Vac
Frequency 47 - 63Hz
Waveform distortion factor Within 10%
2)
For other voltage than those shown in Table 1.2, an insulating transformer must be installed
to adjust the voltage. Consult us.
3)
This system can be directly connected to the commercial power supply, but if there is a fear
of being affected by the load fluctuation of other electrical equipment or electrical noise, the
electrical system should be separated or dedicated power supply unit should be prepared.
Power Supply Capacity
1)
Calculate the power supply capacity by integrating the required power of every unit of
equipment in accordance with the system configuration.
2)
For the making current when power is turned on, the current about 10 times the steady-state
current and 1 cycle should be considered, and the power supply to withstand this rush current
is required.
Distribution Board
1)
The distribution board is installed in the control room and connected to each unit with two-
core power cable .
2)
The power cable should be sufficiently large in diameter so that the voltage drop will be
maximum 2%, and the equipment side should be connected with solderless terminals. (→

Wiring of PCS-DS51)
3)
Provide one non-fuse breaker for each equipment.
Carry-In/Installation
Since the equipment is rather large in mass and size, the carrying-in must be planned in advance.
In order to complete the works from the carrying-in of the equipment to the operation start
without problem in a short time, the transportation, truck parking area, safety, etc. should be
thoroughly checked and due consideration should be taken to prevent troubles and accidents.
