Grounding of the PI/O system
Connect the FG terminal and the shield of the I/O cable of the terminal board unit to the frame
ground terminal of the cabinet.
Connect the grounding terminal of the cabinet to the MCS1000 dedicated grounding for type 3.
Use no loop in the grounding line to make it shortest. Do not connect other devices to the
MCS1000 dedicated grounding.

Connection to Main Processor Board (FMDS1)
Connect the serial bus cable connected to the communication base unit to the main processor
board. For the termination of the serial bus, also connect the terminating resistor.
For the redundant main unit, connect the primary and secondary sides, and then connect them to
the communication base unit.
To wire the serial bus cable, follow the next procedure.
1)
Open the serial bus I/O terminal board cover. Loosen the screw (M3.5) of the terminal to
wire by screwing it counterclockwise with a Phillips screwdriver and remove it from the
terminal board.
2)
Insert the cable from the front left to the location to wire, and fix the crimp-style terminal
with the terminal screw.
3)
Close the terminal board cover.
