The rear view monit or syst em assists
the dri ver by displaying an i mage of
the view behind the vehicle while back-
ing up. The l eft and ri ght displayed on
the screen are the same as those of the
inside rear view mir ror.
Vehicles wi thout smart entry and st art
system—To display rear view i mage on
the screen, shift i nto reverse when the
engine switch is set at the “ ON” posi-
tion and back door is fully closed.
Vehicles with smar t ent ry and start sys-
tem—To display r ear vi ew image on t he
screen, shif t into reverse when the “ EN-
GINE START STOP” swit ch is set at
IGNITION ON mode and back door is
full y closed.
The s creen tur ns off i n the fol lowing s itua-
tions :
D The shi ft lever is s hift ed out of re-
verse.
D The back door is opened.
D The s creen remai ns on f or approxi-
mately 5 minutes .

monitor system
Push the “AUTO” butt on. The indic ator wil l
turn amber.
Vehicles without s mart entr y and start sy s-
tem—The system will be re−enabl ed onc e
the engi ne swi tch is tur ned off and t hen
turned to the “ON” posi tion.
Vehicles with smar t entr y and star t sys-
tem—The system will be re−enabl ed onc e
the “ENGI NE START STOP” swit ch is
turned off and then t urned to I GNITION
ON mode.
To const antly di sable t he rear vi ew
monitor system
Push and hold the “ AUTO” butt on for 12
to 15 seconds . The sc reen will t urn off
and on af ter 6 seconds . Keep pus hing the
button unt il t he scr een turns back off . The
indic ator will f lash amber.
Vehicles without s mart entr y and start sy s-
tem—The moni tor will not automat icall y
turn on again after the engine swit ch is
turned off and then turned to the “ ON”
posit ion.
Vehicles with smar t entr y and star t sys-
tem—The moni tor will not automat icall y
turn on again after t he “ ENGINE START
STOP” s witc h is tur ned off and then
turned to IGNITION ON mode.
