NOTICE
Do not use engi ne antif reeze or any
other substit ute because it may dam-
age your vehicle’s paint.
Do not use your parking brake when
there is a possibility it could freeze.
When par king, put t he t ransmi ssi on int o
“P” (automati c tr ansmiss ion or Multidr ive)
or int o firs t or r evers e (manual t ransmi s-
sion) and bloc k t he r ear wheel s. Do not
use t he park ing brake, or snow or wat er
accumul ated i n and ar ound t he park ing
brake mechanis m may freeze, maki ng it
hard to releas e.
Keep ice and snow from accumulat ing
under the fenders.
Ice and snow built up under your fenders
can mak e s teering diffi cult . During bad
winter dr ivi ng, stop and c heck under the
fenders oc casi onally.
Depending on where you ar e dri ving,
we recommend you carry some emer-
gency equipment.

bag of sand or s alt, fl ares, smal l shovel ,
jumper cables , etc.

handling, perf ormance, brak ing, dur ability
and driv ing economy ( fuel cons umption,

not ov erload your v ehicl e or t railer. Toyota

WEIGHT LIMITS
Before towi ng, confi rm the t owing capac ity,
gross vehic le mas s (GVM), maximum per-
miss ible axle capac ity (MPAC) and dr aw-
bar load. They are lis ted on page 549 in
Secti on 8.
