CAUTION
To avoid death or serious injur y, you
must do the following:
D While t he vehicle is movi ng, always
keep the heads, hands, etc. away
from t he roof opening. Failu re to do
so could resul t in death or ser ious
injury.
D Before you close th e moon roof,
always make sur e there i s nobody
around t he moon roof. You must
also make sur e nobody pl aces hi s
or her head, hands and other parts
of the body in the roof openi ng. If
someone’s neck, head or hands get
caught in t he cl osing roof, it could
result i n deat h or serious injur y.
When anyone closes the moon roof,
fir st make sure i t i s safe t o do so.
D Be sure to car ry t he key when you
leave your vehicle.
D Never leave anyone ( parti cularl y a
small child) alone in your vehicle,
especially wi th the key st ill i n-
serted. Other wise, he/ she could use
the moon roof switches and get
trapped in the r oof opening. Unat-
tended per son (par ticular ly a small
child) can be i nvolved in a ser ious
accident.
D Never sit on t op of the vehicle
around the roof opening.
D Never tr y jamming any part of your
body t o act ivate t he j am prot ection
function intenti onally, as it could re-
sult in death or serious injury.
D The j am pr otecti on f unction may
not wor k if somethi ng gets caught
just before the moon roof is fully
closed.
