Smoke/heat detectors should be mains powered with an internal
rechargeable battery back-up. They must also have a normally open
clean contact relay output which closes on alarm.
Multiple smoke/heat detectors can be connected in parallel per
intercom.
Typical smoke/heat detector

Refer to the manufacturer’s
instructions for the exact
smoke/heat model being
installed.
Options DIL switch 4 in the intercom must
be ON when PIR’s are connected.
If low voltage smoke/heat detectors are used, then these must
be powered from an additional battery backed power supply.
DO NOT POWER FROM THE ADVENT XT2 SYSTEM.

PIR detectors should have a normally closed clean contact output which opens
when movement is detected.
PIR detectors can be powered from the Advent XT2
system network using a 24V-12V Regulator Board
(Tynetec P/No. A00557) fitted locally in the intercom.
Alternatively, an auxiliary 12V DC battery backed
PSU can be used.
Multiple PIR detectors can be connected to the intercom in a normally closed loop.
