Ver-Mac 2018 V-Touch Controller for TLDs User Manual – V3.2 48
Part 2 – System Configuration for an Intersection
Before the signalization for an intersection can function correctly, all the TLD units must be
configured to form a signalization system. TLD units from Ver-Mac leave the factory with the
initial settings already configured for a specific traffic control pattern and intersection type.
Factory pre-set configuration means that if you always use the same combination of TLD
units for the same type of intersection and the same pattern of traffic control, then the system
does not require a new configuration.
The signalization system for the intersection requires a New Configuration:
• If you add new options to a TLD unit, then you must reconfigure the intersection before
commencing signalization.
• If you combine different units to implement a traffic control pattern different from the
factory configuration, then you must reconfigure the intersection before commencing
signalization.
Examples of situations requiring New Configuration (all TLD units):
1. If you want to control a T-junction intersection using three TLD units, two that are
preconfigured for a 2-way traffic pattern plus a single TLD unit, then you have to
reconfigure the intersection (all units).
2. If your traffic control pattern changes from Shuttle to 2-way control, you have to
reconfigure the intersection (all units).
3. If you add a manual operating device to a system that previously had no Manual
operating device, you have to reconfigure the intersection (all units).
