Signal Timing Plans We value your opinion
Ver-Mac 2018 V-Touch TLD User's Manual – V3.2 20
5.4 Creating Detector–Actuated Phases
Figure 15: The Activation Method option zone
1. In Edit Signal Plan screen, select (or add) the signal plan for which you want to
include detector-actuation.
2. In the Phase Editor screen, you get 3 choices of Activation methods.
a. Select Min. Recall to play the phase automatically.
b. Select Call if you have a sensor activation option.
c. Select Preemption if you have the option for emergency vehicles.
You can now proceed to configure the detector-actuated phases or leave the default interval
timings in place.
Green interval of phases can vary in duration, between minimum and maximum values,
depending on detected traffic demand. When vehicles trigger the detector, the green is
extended by a few seconds. This specific timing is known as Passage time.
When you have finished, Save the signal plan and review it to make sure that it is operating
as per your requirements. A call icon appears in the upper left corner; a preemption icon
appears in the upper right corner. It will stay a few seconds then disappear until a real event
triggers it.
5.5 Edit an Existing Signal Plan
When you open the Edit signal plan screen the last edited signal plan may be displayed on
the screen. In such a case, tapping the toolbar icon for the function you require will erase it.
