No demand going to outdoor unit.
Cause
Software versions of the HPMU and VCMU electronics
modules are not compatible.
Measures
1. Update software version of electronics modules via
ViGuide.
2. Compare the software versions of the HPMU and
VCMU electronics modules.
3. Read out and check the ID numbers from Viess-
mann Technical Service.

Cause
HPMU electronics module communication error
Measures
1. Check the settings in the commissioning assistant.
Adjust if necessary.
2. Check the CAN bus connection between the indoor
unit and outdoor unit:
■
Floorstanding indoor unit:
Connection to luster terminals for BUS connec-
tions, terminals 72.3 to 72.5
Wall mounted indoor unit: Connection on device
underside, 5-pole connection socket on the right,
terminals 72.L to 72.H
■
Connection between X10.1 to X10.5 on
EHCU electronics module and X4.1 to X4.5 on
HPMU electronics module
■
Check wires and plugs for correct seating.
■
Check connections for contact corrosion.
■
Check cables for mechanical damage, e.g. crush-
ing, kinking, chafing or breakage.
■
Shielding must be connected to CAN Ground
(GND).
■
Check cable type: Li2YCYv, twisted pair, shielded
or 2-core CAT5, shielded
■
Check cable length.
■
Check CAN L/CAN H assignment.
■
Check the position and number of terminators.
3. Check the software versions of the HPMU and
EHCU electronics modules via ViGuide. Update if
necessary.
4. Replace the HPMU electronics module.
