4.3.2 Diverting Valve Operation
The function of the diverting valve is to direct return system water from either the
central heating circuit or domestic hot water heat store to the circulating pump,
depending on mode selection and thermostat requirements.
The valve body has 3x ports labelled A, B and AB:
The valve actuator has two positions, CH and DHW.
The CH position retracts the actuator (1), directing system water from the central
heating circuit return to the circulating pump.
Water flows from port B to port AB:
The DHW position extends the actuator (2), directing system water from the Plate
Heat Exchanger to the circulating pump.
Water flows from port A to port AB:
