Installing the standard column heater
If your system includes the standard column heater, follow the procedures
below to install it.
Installing the optional MS extension bracket
If your system includes a mass spectrometer, use the optional MS-bracket to
position the column heater to the right of the ACQUITY UPLC system stack.
Doing so reduces the length of the tubing that extends to the mass
spectrometer inlet.
Consult the ACQUITY Configuration Guide to determine whether your
system requires the MS-bracket kit.
Installing the MS-bracket kit entails these actions:
• Removing the column heater from the device chassis
• Installing the MS-bracket on the column heater chassis
• Attaching the column heater housing onto the MS-bracket
• Adjusting the height of the column heater bracket, if necessary
• Attaching the column heater and connecting accessories, such as the MS
drip tray, leak sensor, and drain tubing
• Connecting inlet and outlet tubing
