6. Hygienic preparation
The OXYMAT 3 and its accessories must al-
ways be subjected to hygienic preparation at
regular intervals. After performing hygienic
preparation please always carry out a func-
tional check (see "7. Functional Check"
page 106).
6.1 Time periods
Cleaning of the device and accessories must
be performed at the intervals given below.
We recommend also carrying out disinfection
within these periods.
• After every usage:
– nasal cannula
– connecting tubes
• Daily:
– sterile water tank
• Weekly:
– dosage monitor
– flowmeter
– coarse dust filter
– OXYMAT 3 housing
– power cord
In the case of patients with a weakened im-
mune system or a special history of illness dis-
infection of the individual components may be
necessary after every usage. Please consult
your doctor in this case.
