7. Functional Check
1. Switch on the OXYMAT 3 using On/Off
knob 2. A self-test will then run.
– Red fault indicator 18, yellow status in-
dicator 19 and green power indicator
20 immediately come on briefly.
– Green power indicator 20 then flash-
es for the duration of the self-test (ap-
prox. 1 minute).
– If the device is functioning perfectly,
only green power indicator 20 will still
be on after the self-test.
– Yellow status indicator 19 gives warn-
ing of a fault. You should then have
the device checked by your author-
ized dealer.
– Red fault indicator 18 indicates a se-
vere fault. The OXYMAT 3 should be
taken out of service.
2. Check that the red minutes counter on the
operating time meter 4 moves on every
6 minutes.
3. Check that the screw connections be-
tween the cover and glass of the bubble
humidifier and between the humidifier
and dosage monitor are firm. If neces-
sary, tighten these connections by hand.
4. Set the flow rate to 2 liters per minute by
means of the oxygen dosage control
knob 24.
5. To check the dosage monitor 9 for leaks,
bend 3-meter tube 11, or pull
3-meter hose 11 off the connection on
bubble humidifier 25 and hold con-
nection 26 closed. The dosage monitor
system is free from leaks if the flowmeter
ball 22 sinks all the way to the bottom. In
the event of leaks you should replace the
sealing rings on the bubble humidifier.
