Adjusting Brake Pedal Free Travel
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or death:
• Stop the engine and chock the wheels before checking
brake pedal.
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Slightly depress the brake pedals and measure free travel at top
of pedal stroke.
3. If adjustment is needed, loosen the lock nut and turn the brake
rod to adjust the rod length within acceptable limits.
4. Retighten the lock nut.

Adjusting Parking Brake Lever
CAUTION
• Be sure to stop engine before checking parking brake.
1. Slowly raise the parking brake lever (1) to the ratchet sound
made by the parking brake lever.
2. If the No. of notch is not within the factory specifications, loosen
the lock nut (2) and turn the brake rod to adjust within
acceptable limits.
3. Retighten the lock nut (2) securely.
IMPORTANT
• Check the brake pedal free travel after adjusting the
parking brake.
NOTE
• Refer to "BRAKE" section for detailed method.
