4.1 Main Drive Motor RAP
Initial Actions
This RAP is used if the main drive motor does
not turn or turns when the power
is switched
on.
If the main drive motor turns when power
is
switched on, go to FLAG 1 and check the
wiring for a short circuit to frame.
Switch off the copier. Remove the rear cover
and observe the MTR
LED on the low voltage
power supply. Switch on the power.
The MTR
LED is lit after the display
alternates between
L ehd 3.

Switch off and unplug the copier. Go to
FLAG
1 and check for an open circuit
between the Control
PWB and the LVPS
PWB.
I
If there is no open circuit, replace the
Control
PWB.
Set the meter to measure ACH.
There is ACH between P3-1 and P3-3 of the
LVPS PWB.
Y N
Switch off and unplug the copier. Go to
FLAG 2 and check for an open circuit
between
P4-3 and P4-4 of the LVPS PWB.
If there Is on open circuit, reploce the
transformer.
If there is no open circuit, replace the
LVPS.
Switch off and unplug the copier. Go to
FLAG
3 and check for an open circuit
between the main drive motor and the
LVPS
PWB.
If there is no open circuit, replace the main
drive motor.
