9. Turn the four lock levers clockwise by 90 degrees to lock the drum cartridge.
Important: Do not turn the lock levers by more than 90 degrees with an excessive force.
10. Hold the front protective cover by the tab on top, and carefully remove the cover from the drum
cartridge.
Important: Make sure that nothing touches or scratches the surface (black-colored film) of the belt
unit. Scratches, dirt, or oil from your hands on the film of the belt unit may reduce print quality.
11. Close the front cover.
Caution:
•When closing the front cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught between (the left, right, top,
or bottom edge of) the cover and the printer.
