on firm, stable

faces. Holes, obstructions, debris,
loose
fill,
and
other
worksite
hazards can cause
injury

bystanders in

personnel, machinery, and vehicles in

work
area.

Know
the rules
for
movement
of
people and
vehicles on the worksite.

Follow
worksite
signs
and signals.
• Check boom clearance before driVing

door
opening, bridge, etc.

Slow
down
when approaching
obstructions.
Use a spotter,
if
necessary.
• Stop
for
poor
visibility
conditions,
such
as
dust, smoke, fog, etc. Wait until
visibility
improves before continuing.

vehicle in an enclosed
area
only
if
there is a ventilation

tem capable
of
routing
hazardous
fumes outside. Engine exhaust

of
combustion
that
can
