5.1.10 Feed Trip Adjustment
If the feed trip is adjusted too light it will inadvertently trip when drilling. If too heavy, it will not trip
accurately and stress the mechanism. The correct adjustment depends on the operation to be performed.
To adjust:
1. Release the lock nut.
2. Engage the trip handle--move it left.
3. Adjust the micrometer nut against the quill stop knob.
4. Slowly turn the adjusting screw until the handle trips.
5. Tighten the lock nut.
6. Check the reaction. If too sensitive, lower the adjusting screw slightly. If too heavy, raise it.

5.1.11 Quill Clock Spring Replacement and Adjustment
The quill clock spring counterbalances the weight of the quill and tool.
