Installing the Oil Pan
1. Apply sealant bead to the mating surface of the
oil pan (Figure 5-94, (1)). See Sealants,
Adhesives, Lubricants and Cleaners on
page 5-16.

2. Fit the pan to the oil pan spacer.
3. Secure the oil pan with:
• Four M8 x 25 mm bolts
• 26 M8 x 120 mm bolts
• Two M8 x 10 mm bolts
• Two M8 x 90 mm bolts

Seal
1. Grease the outer circumference of the lip
portion of the oil seal (Figure 5-95, (2)).

2. Install the oil seal into the flywheel housing.
Installing the Flywheel Housing
1. Use the two pilot pins as a guide, and fit the
flywheel housing to the engine block. Avoid
damage to the oil seal.
2. Secure the flywheel housing with nine
M10 x 30 mm bolts and five M10 x 35 mm bolts
as shown in Figure 5-96.
