(r) Place new compressor in position.
(s) Slide compressor forth until bell-housing touch
engine flange.
(t) Join bell-housing to engine flange screwing in a
diametrically opposite sequence.

ION
! Tightening torque: 44N m (389lb − in)
(u) Fasten compressor to its frame basement.
CAUT
ION! Tightening torque: 74N m (655lb−in).
(v) Restore compressor connections keeping valves
closed.
CAUT
ION! Check and replace shut-off valve gaskets.
(w) Vacuum compressor and check installation for
leaks 3.2.5 Sec
tion.
(x) Reopen all unit valves.
