USING THE REMOTE CONTROL (CONTINUED)
PROGRAMMING
THE
REMOTE
CONTROL
Before using the Multi-Brand Remote Control supplied
with your new TV, it must
be
programmed
to
recognize
the brands
of
the VCR, Cable-TV Decoder
and
TV
it
will
be
used to operate. If you
are
using a Zenith TV,
Zenith VHS VCR
and
Zenith Cable-TV Decoder, it has
already been programmed for you. Otherwise, follow
the below steps.
NOTE:
The
remote control can only
be
used
to
operate
one VCR, one TV,
and
one Cable-TV Decoder.
If
you
program it for a
TV
other than a Zenith, it
will
not
operate your Zenith TV.
1.
To
program the MBR3000 to recognize your TV,
place the VCR/CABLE/TV switch
of
the MBR3000
in the
TV
position.
2. Simultaneously hold down the
ENTER
and
"O"
buttons until the indicator light on the MBR3000
turns
on
(about 5 seconds).
3.
Use
the numbered buttons
on
the MBR3000
to
enter
the code that corresponds
to
the
brand
of
your
equipment.
The
code
for your Zenith television is
"1."
Codes for other brands
of
TVs, VCRs, Cable-TV
Decoders
and
Satellite Receivers
are
given in
the
following tables.
NOTE:
Some manufacturers use several different types
of
remote controls.
If
your
brand
has several numbers
listed, simply try each one until you find the one that
works.
4. After entering the
code
number, press
the
ENTER
button.
The
light
on
the
MBR3000 should go out
immediately, indicating that it
has
accepted the
programming for that component.
NOTE:
If
_the light fails
to
go out as soon as the
ENTER
button is pressed,
an
error
has
been
made.
Repeat
steps 2-4.
5.
For
future reference, write the code you used
successfully in
the
appropriate space
on
the label.
This label can
be
adhered
to
the back
of
the
remote
control.
6.
To
program
the
MBR3000 to recognize your
Cable-TV
Decoder
(or
Satellite Receiver),
put
the
VCR/CABLE/TV switch in the
CABLE
position and
repeat steps 2-5, using the
code
shown in
the
CABLE-TV
DECODER
CODE
TABLE
for your
brand
of
equipment.
To
program the MBR3000 for your VCR,
put
the
VCR/CABLE/TV switch in
the
VCR
position
and
repeat steps 2-5, using the appropriate
code
from the
VCR

TABLE.
