Description
A tinted-glass panel
is
provided with some TVs. The
glass panel enhances the picture contrast under certain
viewing ( ambient light) conditions.
Before
Using
the
1V
As received from the factory, the glass panel
is
mounted
to the TV. Foam pads are used as shock absorbers
to
protect the glass panel during shipment. These foam
pads must
be
removed before
using
the TV.

Removing
Glass Panel (or Foam Shipping Pads)
The
glass panel should
be
removed for cleaning,
to
gain
access
to
the
TV
picture tube for cleaning, or to remove
the foam shipping pads which protect the glass panel.
The
glass panel
is
secured
to
the
TV
cabinet
at
four
points; two points along the
top
edge and two points
along the bottom edge. See figure for details.
Four
sets of
mounting hardware are used.
Each
set consists
of
a
hook-shaped clip
and
a locking wedge.

The
tinted glass panel is

breakable
and
heavy. Handle it with care.
