12. Wrap tape around the handlebar and mark the
parting line of the front master cylinder to
record its location.
13. Remove bolts (x2) securing the throttle’s rear
cover to the front cover. Tool: Tamperproof
T25
14. Carefully remove the throttle’s rear cover from
the throttle assembly.
Note: If you’re attempting to keep the throttle
spring from being sprung, do not remove the
throttle’s front cover.
15. Tape the throttle and grip to keep the throttle’s
front cover from popping off the throttle
assembly.
16. Slide the throttle assembly on the handlebar to
gain access to the motor stop switch bolts.
17. Loosen the front master cylinder clamp bolts
(x2) securing the master cylinder assembly to
the handlebar. Tool: 5mm hex wrench.
Torque: 8 lb-ft (11 Nm).
Note: Rotate front brake master cylinder to
gain access to the motor stop switch bottom
cover bolts.
