Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) 40-7

6. Release rear WSS harness from plastic
retainer.
7. Place rag over rear caliper to protect painted
surfaces.
8. Lift rear tire slightly and slide rear axle out of
the swing arm.
9. Raise rear tire and remove rear wheel speed
sensor (WSS) and set aside.
Note: Make sure the WSS sensor is supported
and not straining the WSS electrical harness.
10. Lower the rear tire carefully to keep from
damaging painted surfaces.
11. Place rag over the left side of the swingarm
between the rear sprocket and the swing arm
to protect painted surfaces.
12. Roll rear tire forward.
