• Edge Tx Filter. When the RSTP protocol is executed, this parameter allows the
user to enable a filter that avoids the transmission of STP BPDU packets in the
interfaces operating in edge mode. This parameter is only effective when the
operating state of the interface is edge, and this situation is only possible when the
Edge parameter is configured as on or auto.
Switch interconnection using interfaces with Edge at ON and
Edge_Tx_filter active lead to switches being unable to detect the
connection as part of a loop.
