Chapter 5 Interfaces
NWA/WAC Series CLI Reference Guide

The following example shows LAN settings.
The following example shows each port’s type of cable connection.
5.4 VLAN Interface Specific Commands
A Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) divides a physical network into multiple logical networks. The
standard is defined in IEEE 802.1q.
In the NWA/WAC, each VLAN is called a VLAN interface. As a router, the NWA/WAC routes traffic
between VLAN interfaces, but it does not route traffic within a VLAN interface.
Note: vlan0 is the default VLAN interface. It cannot be deleted and its VID cannot
changed.
Otherwise, VLAN interfaces are similar to other interfaces in many ways. They have an IP address,
subnet mask, and gateway used to make routing decisions. They restrict bandwidth and packet
size. They can verify the gateway is available.
The following table identifies the values required for many of these commands. Other input values
are discussed with the corresponding commands.
Router(config)# show manager vlan
