Wireless Network Set up
Wireless You can En a ble or D isa ble t he wireless LAN in this field.
Band This shows t he w ireless band which t his radio profile is using. 2 .4 GHz is t he frequency used
by I EEE 802.11b/ g/ n wireless clients.
Channel Set t he channel depending on your par t icular region.
Select a channel or use Auto to have t he Device autom at ically determine a channel t o use.
I f you are having problem s wit h wireless interference, changing the channel m ay help. Try
to use a channel that is as m any channels away from any channels used by neighboring APs
as possible. The channel num ber w hich the Device is curr ent ly using t hen displays next t o
this field.

Bandw idt h Select whether the Device uses a wireless channel width of 2 0 M H z or 4 0 M H z.
A standar d 20MHz channel offers t ransfer speeds of up to 150Mbps whereas a 40MHz
channel uses two st andard channels and offers speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
40MHz ( channel bonding or dual channel) bonds two adj acent radio channels to increase
t hroughput . The wireless client s m ust also support 40 MHz. I t is oft en better t o use t he 20
MHz setting in a locat ion where t he envir onm ent hinders t he wireless signal.
Select 2 0 M H z if you want t o lessen radio interference wit h other wireless devices in your
neighbor hood or the w ireless clients do not support channel bonding.
