6.5 The 8021x Screen
You can view and configure t he 802.1x aut hent ication sett ings in t he 8 0 2 1 x screen. Click Ne t w or k
Set t ing > Broadban d > 8 0 2 1 x to display t he following screen.

The following t able describes t he labels in t his screen.
PhyR DS Enable or disable PhyR DS (downstream ) for downst r eam transm ission from the WAN.
PhyR DS should be enabled if data being transm itt ed downstream is sensit ive to noise.
How ever, enabling PhyR DS can decrease t he DS line rat e. Enabling or disabling PhyR will
require the CPE to retrain. For PhyR t o function, t he DSLAM m ust also support PhyR and
have it enabled.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes back t o t he Device.
Cancel Click Ca nce l to return to t he previous configurat ion.

EAP m ethod This shows t he EAP m ethod used in t he aut hent ication. This displays N/ A w hen t here is no
EAP m et hod assigned.
Bidirectional
Authenticat ion
This shows w het her bidir ect ional aut hentication is allowed.
Certificate This shows t he cer t ificate used for this aut henticat ion. This displays N / A when t her e is no
certificate assigned.
Trusted CA This shows t he Trusted CA used for t his aut hent icat ion. This display s N/ A w hen t here is no
Trusted CA assigned.
