The available securit y m odes in your Device are as follows:
• W PA2 - PSK: ( recom m ended) This uses a pre-shared key wit h t he WPA2 st andard.
• W PA- PSK: This has the device use either WPA- PSK or WPA2- PSK depending on which securit y
m ode t he w ireless client uses.
• W PA2 : WPA2 ( I EEE 802.11i) is a wireless security st andard that defines st ronger encryption,
aut hent icat ion and key m anagem ent than WPA. I t requires t he use of a RADI US server and is
m ostly used in business networks.
• W PA: Wi- Fi Prot ect ed Access ( WPA) is a subset of the I EEE 802.11i standard. I t requires the use
of a RADI US server and is m ostly used in business net works.
• W EP: Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption scram bles t he dat a t ransm it ted bet ween t he
wireless stations and t he access point s to keep network com m unications private.
36.5 USB Device Connection
The Device fails t o det ect m y USB device.
1 Disconnect the USB device.
2 Reboot the Device.
3 I f you are connect ing a USB hard drive t hat com es wit h an external power supply, m ake sure it is
connected t o an appropriat e power source that is on.
4 Re-connect your USB device t o the Device.
36.6 UPnP
When using UPnP and t he Device reboots, m y com puter cannot det ect UPnP and refresh My
N et w ork Places > Loca l N e t w ork .
1 Disconnect t he Ethernet cable from t he Device’s LAN port or from your com put er.
2 Re- connect t he Ethernet cable.
The Local Area Connect ion icon for UPnP disappears in the screen.
