The following t able lists som e com m only-used services and their associat ed prot ocols and port
num bers.
• N am e : This is a short , descript ive nam e for the service. You can use t his one or creat e a
different one, if you like.
• Pr ot ocol: Th i s is t h e t y p e of I P p r o t ocol used by t he ser v ice. I f t h i s is TCP/ UDP, then t he service
uses the sam e port num ber wit h TCP and UDP. I f this is USER- DEFI N ED, the Por t ( s) is the I P
prot ocol num ber, not the port num ber.
• Port ( s) : This value depends on the Protocol.
• If the Protocol is TCP, UDP, or TCP/ UDP, this is the I P port num ber.
• If the Protocol is USER, t his is the I P prot ocol num ber.
• De script ion: This is a brief explanat ion of the applicat ions that use t his service or t he situations
in which t his service is used.
