4.8 Configuring the MAC Address Filter

downloading m edia files. He decided to prevent Josephine from accessing the I nternet so that she
can concent rat e on preparing for her final exam s.
Josephine’s com puter connects wir elessly to the I nternet t hrough t he Device. Thom as decides to
use t he Securit y > MAC Filte r screen t o grant wireless network access to his com put er but not to
Josephine’s com puter.
1 Click Se curity > M AC Filt e r to open t he M AC Filt e r screen. Select the Ena ble check box to
act ivate MAC filter function.
2 Select Allow . Then ent er t he host nam e and MAC address of Thom as’ com puter in t his scr een. Click
Apply.
