Broadband
6.1 Overview
This chapt er discusses the Device’s Br oa dband screens. Use these screens to configure your
Device for I nternet access.
A WAN (Wide Area Network) connection is an outside connection t o anot her net work or the
I nternet. I t connects your privat e networks, such as a LAN (Local Area Net work) and ot her
net works, so that a com puter in one locat ion can com m unicate with com puters in ot her locations.

You can att ach a 3G wireless adapt er to the USB port and set the Device to use t his 3G connection
as your WAN or a backup when t he wired WAN connection fails.
