7.6 The WMM Screen
Use t his screen to enable Wi- Fi Mult iMedia ( WMM) and WMM Power Save in wireless networks for
m ultim edia applicat ions.
Click Ne t w ork Set t ing > W ir ele ss > W M M . The following screen displays.

The default WPS st at us is configured.
Click t his but t on t o rem ove all configured wireless and w ireless security settings for WPS
connect ions on the Device.

New PI N
Num ber
The PI N ( Personal I dent ification Num ber) of t he Device is shown here. Enter t his PI N in the
configurat ion ut ilit y of t he device you want to connect t o using WPS.
The PI N is not necessary w hen you use WPS push-button m ethod.
Click the Ge n e r a t e N e w PI N N um ber butt on t o have t he Device creat e a new PI N.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes.
Cancel Click Ca n cel to restore your previously saved sett ings.

WMM Select On t o have t he Device aut om at ically give a service a pr iorit y level according to t he
ToS value in t he I P header of packet s it sends. WMM QoS ( Wifi Mult iMedia Quality of
Service) gives high priority to voice and video, which m akes t hem run m ore sm oot hly.

Select t his opt ion t o extend t he battery life of your m obile devices ( especially useful for
sm all devices t hat are running m ult im edia applications) . The Device goes t o sleep m ode to
save power when it is not t ransm it t ing dat a. The AP buffers t he packets sent t o the Device
until t he Device " wakes up". The Device wakes up periodically t o check for incom ing data.
Note: Note: This works only if the wireless device to which the Device is connected also
supports this feature.

Cancel Click Ca n cel t o restore your previously saved set t ings.
