LABEL DESCRIPTION
DoS Protection DoS ( Denial of Service) att acks can flood your I nternet connect ion wit h invalid packets and
connect ion request s, using so m uch bandwidth and so m any resources that I nt ernet access
becom es unavailable.
Select the Ena ble check box to enable prot ect ion against DoS attacks.

Click this to go to add a filt er rule for incom ing or outgoing I P t raffic.
# This is the index num ber of t he ent ry.
Nam e This displays the nam e of t he rule.
Src I P This displays the source I P addresses t o which this rule applies. Please note t hat a blank
source address is equivalent t o Any.
Dst I P This displays t he destinat ion I P addresses t o which t his rule applies. Please not e t hat a
blank destinat ion address is equivalent t o Any.
Service This displays the t ransport layer prot ocol that defines the service and the direction of t raffic
to which t his rule applies.
Act ion This field displays whet her t he rule silent ly discar ds packets (DROP) , discards packet s and
sends a TCP reset packet or an I CMP dest ination- unreachable m essage t o t he sender
(REJECT) or allows t he passage of packet s ( ACCEPT).
Modify Click t he Edit icon t o edit t he rule.
Click the Delete icon t o delet e an exist ing r u le. Not e t hat subsequ ent r u les m ove up by one
when you t ake t his action.
Click the Move To icon t o change t he order of the r ule. Ent er t he num ber in the # field.
