Each t im e you r eload t his page, t he Device synchr onizes the tim e wit h the tim e server.

Each tim e you reload t his page, the Device synchronizes t he date with t he t im e server.

Select an NTP tim e server from t he drop- down list box.
Ot herwise, select Other and ent er the I P address or URL ( up t o 29 extended ASCI I
charact ers in length) of your t im e server.
Select Non e if you don’t want to configure the t im e server.
Check with your I SP/ net wor k adm inistrator if y ou are unsure of this inform ation.
Tim e Zone
Tim e zone offset Choose the tim e zone of your locat ion. This will set the t im e difference between your t im e
zone and Greenwich Mean Tim e ( GMT).
Day light Saving Daylight Saving Tim e is a period from late spring t o early fall when m any count ries set
their clocks ahead of norm al local t im e by one hour to give m ore daytim e light in t he
evening.

St art rule: Configure t he day and tim e w hen Daylight Sav ing Tim e st arts if you enabled Daylight
Saving. You can select a specific date in a part icular m onth or a specific day of a specific
week in a part icular m ont h. The Tim e field uses the 24 hour form at. Here are a couple of
exam ples:
Day light Saving Tim e starts in m ost parts of t he Unit ed States on the second Sunday of
March. Each tim e zone in t he United Stat es start s using Daylight Saving Tim e at 2 A.M.
local tim e. So in the United St at es, set the day t o Secon d, Sunday, the m onth t o March
and the tim e t o 2 in t he H our field.
Day light Saving Tim e st arts in t he European Union on t he last Sunday of March. All of t he
t im e zones in t he Eur opean Union st art using Daylight Saving Tim e at t he sam e m om ent
( 1 A.M. GMT or UTC) . So in t he European Union you would set t he day to Last, Sunday
and t he m ont h t o March. The tim e you select in the o'clock field depends on your tim e
zone. I n Germ any for inst ance, you would select 2 in t he Hou r field because Germ any 's
tim e zone is one hour ahead of GMT or UTC ( GMT+ 1) .
