IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN
I EEE 802.11g is fully com pat ible wit h t he I EEE 802.11b st andard. This m eans an I EEE 802.11b
adapter can int erface directly wit h an I EEE 802.11g access point ( and vice versa) at 11 Mbps or
lower depending on range. I EEE 802.11g has several int erm ediate rate steps between the
m axim um and m inim um dat a rates. The I EEE 802.11g dat a rate and m odulation are as follows:
Wireless Security Overview
Wireless securit y is vit al to your net work t o prot ect wireless com m unicat ion betw een wireless

Wireless securit y m ethods available on the Device are dat a encryption, wireless client
aut hent icat ion, restricting access by device MAC address and hiding t he Device identit y.
