Running and operating
As explained in Chapter 3, the view of your display is customizable via DMS.
NOTE: The subsequent sections show examples of views which you may have disabled on your
dosimeter. (Please refer to Chapter 3, “Setting up the Edge via DMS”.)
Overview of running a study
The list below is a brief overview of the steps for running a study.

Quick Help List: typical dosimetry session
1. Turn the dosimeter on and check your battery power.
2. Reset the dosimeter.
o This will clear out all of the data history before your study begins to ensure you
have sufficient memory space on the Edge.
3. Set-up your study parameters via DMS.
4. Calibrate the dosimeter.
5. Attach the dosimeter for your personal noise study.
6. Press the Run/Stop button to start the study.
7. When you are ready to end your study, press the Run/Stop button to stop the
study.
8. Review your results either on the meter or download to DMS for further analysis
(graphs/charts, saving and printing).
