External power supply for the JCU Control Unit (XPOW)
External +24 V (minimum 1.6 A) power supply for the control unit can be connected to
terminal block XPOW. Using an external supply is recommended if
the application requires fast start after connecting the drive to the main supply
fieldbus communication is required when the input power supply is disconnected.
DI5 (XDI:5) as a thermistor input
1…3 PTC sensors can be connected to this input for motor temperature measurement.
Notes:
Do not connect both ends of the cable shields directly to ground. If a capacitor cannot
be used at one end, leave that end of the shield unconnected.
The connection of temperature sensors involves parameter adjustment. See the
Firmware manual of the drive.
Pt100 sensors are not to be connected to the thermistor input. Instead, an analog
input and an analog current output (located either on the JCU or on an I/O extension
module) are used as shown below. The analog input must be set to voltage.
