parameters are available in the IED. Any of them can be activated through the different
programmable binary inputs by means of external or internal control signals.
A function block, SETGRPS, defines how many setting groups are used. Setting is done
with parameter MAXSETGR and shall be set to the required value for each IED. Only the
number of setting groups set will be available in the Parameter Setting tool for activation
with the ActiveGroup function block.
24.4.2 Setting guidelines
The setting ActiveSetGrp, is used to select which parameter group to be active. The active
group can also be selected with configured input to the function block SETGRPS.
The length of the pulse, sent out by the output signal GRP_CHGD when an active group
has changed, is set with the parameter t.
The parameter MAXSETGR defines the maximum number of setting groups in use to
switch between. Only the selected number of setting groups will be available in the
Parameter Setting tool (PST) for activation with the ActiveGroup function block.
