1. Introduction
Prior to the operation of the RTCA SP Instrument, please refer to the Overview and Sys-
tem Description sections in this manual and review the RTCA So ware Manual to famil-
iarize yourself with the system.
e operator should have some previous experience with tissue/cell culturing to
handle cells and medium.
2. Instrument Start-Up and Warm-Up
e power switch is located at the back of the RTCA Analyzer. A er the system is properly
installed, the power of the RTCA Analyzer can be turned-on. e power for the RTCA SP
Station is provided by the analyzer, so there is no power switch at the station side.
A er placing the RTCA SP Station in the incubator, allow the system to warm up for
two hours, so the RTCA SP Station reaches the same temperature as the incubator.
is ensures a condensation-free station and smooth data recording, since the electrical
properties of the medium and the electronics are temperature sensitive.
