Assembly Replacement and Post-Repair Procedures
Front Panel Assembly
Front Panel Assembly
Tools Required
• T-10 TORX screwdriver
• T-15 TORX screwdriver
• small slot screwdriver
• ESD (electrostatic discharge) grounding wrist strap
• 5/16-inch open-end torque wrench (set to 10 in-lb)
Refer to Figure 14-3 when using the following instructions.
Removal
1. Disconnect the power cord.
2. Remove the front bottom feet (item 1).
3. Remove all of the RF cables that are attached to the front panel (item 2).
4. Remove the line button (item 6) by pulling it out.
5. Remove the trim strip (item 3) from the top edge of the front frame by prying under the
strip with a small slot screwdriver.
6. Remove the six screws (item 4) from the top and bottom edges of the frame.
7. Slide the front panel over the test port connectors.
8. Disconnect the ribbon cable (item 5). The front panel is now free from the instrument.
Replacement
1. Reverse the order of the removal procedure.
NOTE When reconnecting semirigid cables, it is recommended that the connections
be torqued to 10 in-lb.
