To set the serial interface parameters:
1 Press , , , . The
current settings for , , , and are
shown under the softkeys.
2 To change the baud rate, press . The power meter displays
the baud rate in a pop- up window. Change the setting by using the
and keys to run through the selection of baud rates
available. To confirm your choice, press .
3 To change the word size, press . The power meter displays
the word size in a pop- up window. Change the setting by using any of
the arrow keys to toggle between a word size of seven or eight. To
confirm your choice, press
.
4 To change the number of stop bits, press . The power meter
displays the number of stop bits in a pop-up window. Change the
setting by using any of the arrow keys to toggle between a setting of
one or two. To confirm your choice, press
.
5 To change the parity type, press . The power meter displays the
parity type in a pop- up window. Change the setting by using any of the
arrow keys to select from EVEN, ODD, ZERO, ONE, or NONE. To
confirm your choice, press
.
6 Press to access page 2 of 2. This page allows you to set echo off
and on and gives access to the pacing menu.
7 Press to toggle between off and on. When echo is on, all received
characters will be transmitted (echoed) back to the sender.
8 Press to access the pacing menu which allows you to enable or
disable various software and hardware pacing options. Pacing will
prevent receiver overrun errors and is generally only required when
large amounts of data are being transferred (for example, cal tables).
9 Press to toggle between enabling and disabling the Xon/Xoff
transmitter software handshake. When enabled “Xon” is highlighted,
otherwise “None” is highlighted.
10 Press to toggle between enabling and disabling the Xon/Xoff
receiver software handshake. When enabled “Xon” is highlighted,
otherwise “None” is highlighted.
11 Press and use any of the arrow keys to select one of the
following from the pop- up menu:
OFF - Sets the RTS signal line permanently low.
