Chapter 5, WEB CONTROL PANEL OPERATION
5-43
5.3.28 Equations: Command Interface

Figure 5-44, Command Interface
The Command interface, shown above in figure 5-44, allows commands to be sent to
the instrument and the response displayed. Commands are listed in Chapter 6 and
Appendix E of this manual.
Type the command in the Command input box and press <return>. The response
will be shown in the Command response box. In the figure above, the command
ID was sent and the response is "7230", the instrument's model number.
5.3.29 Equations: Auto Default

Figure 5-45, Auto Default Button
Clicking the Auto Default button, shown above in figure 5-45, sets all the controls to
a defined state. This is most often used as a rescue operation to bring the instrument
into a known condition when it is giving unexpected results. A listing of the settings
which are invoked by the use of this function can be found in appendix D.
5.3.30 Equations: Auto Measure

Figure 5-46, Auto Measure Button
Clicking the Auto Measure button, shown above in figure 5-46, adjusts the full-scale
sensitivity so that the magnitude output lies between 30% and 90% of full-scale, and
then performs an auto-phase operation to maximize the X channel output and
minimize the Y channel output.
This completes the description of the instrument's web control panels.
