Chapter 3 — Options Verification 3-5 Option 44, 45, and/or 65 WCDMA/HSDPA Signal Analyzer Verification
MS272xC MM PN: 10580-00279 Rev. E 3-17
46. Record the calculated value (MG3700A.28) in Table A-90, “Option 44, Power Level Setting, Components
Characterization” on page A-42.
47. On the MG3700A, turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to the recorded
MG3700A.28 value in Table A-90.
48. On the MS272xC, press the Amplitude main menu key and then press the Adjust Range submenu key.
49. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-91.
50. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS272xC at +28 dBm:
Error = Measured Power –28
51. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-91, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
52. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
53. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0dB.
54. Set power level of the MG3700A to –38 dBm.
55. Calculate the value of the Sensor A reading (PMA – 10) for –10 dBm Test Level by using the following
formula:
PMA–10 = PMA.10C–20
56. Record the calculated value (PMA – 10) in Table A-90.
57. Turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of PMA – 10 on Sensor A.
58. On the MS272xC, press the Amplitude main menu key and then press the Adjust Range submenu key.
59. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-91.
60. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS272xCat –10 dBm:
Error = Measured Power – (–10)
61. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-91, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
62. Turn Off the RF output of the MG3700A.
63. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0dB.
64. Decrease power level of the MG3700A by 10 dB.
65. Calculate the value of the Sensor A reading (PMA – 20) for –20 dBm Test Level by using the following
formula:
PMA–20 = PMA.10C–30
66. Record the calculated value (PMA – 20) in Table A-90.
67. Turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of PMA – 20 on Sensor A.
68. On the MS272xC, press the Amplitude main menu key and then press the
Adjust Range submenu key.
69. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-91.
70. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
71. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of MS272xC at –20 dBm:
Error = Measured Power – (–20)
72. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-91, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
