Define the LAN
Port IP Settings
1. Touch the instrument touchscreen to awaken it, then touch .
2. In the Main Menu, touch Settings Menu, touch Admin Menu, then touch
Set IP Address.
3. Enter the IP settings for the network connection.
4. Touch to return to the Main Menu.
5. Connect the Ethernet cable between the:
• Blue LAN Port ( ) of the instrument, and the
• Ethernet port for your network
IMPORTANT! Do not connect the Ethernet cable to the yellow Computer Port
( ); this port is reserved for the colocated computer connection.

DHCP Touch Assign IP address dynamically (using DHCP), touch Done, then
touch OK when prompted.
Static IP 1. Touch Static.
2. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway settings. For
each setting, touch the field, enter the address, then touch Done.
3. Touch Done to save the settings, then touch OK when prompted.
The following figure shows an example of static IP network settings for the
LAN port of the instrument.
