Working on the door leaf: When working on the door leaf or on the door frame, such as drilling or milling,
the Technilock
®
L4 must be removed.
Factor in the rebate gap: Install the door so that the “rebate gap” (gap between the face plate and striking
plate) is 3.5 to 5.5 mm.
Do not open the Technilock
®
L4: The Technilock
®
L4 may not be opened, because it would be damaged as
a result.
Do not paint: The Technilock
®
L4 may not be coated with paint or other substances.
Protect against water and moisture: The Technilock

L4 must be protected against penetrating water.
Water impairs the function of the Technilock

Observe the EMC Directive: For reasons of electromagnetic compatibility, single wires may not be
switched in parallel in order to obtain a larger conductor cross section. Always use single wires with the
appropriate cross section.
